Digital Organizing for a Progressive Ohio
What is Ohio Creators for Progress?
Ohio Creators for Progress is a statewide network of digital creators dedicated to digital organizing, engaging Ohioans, and advancing progressive ideals across the state. The group is funded by the United SHE Stands Action Fund, an Ohio PAC (Political Action Committee - more on this below 🤪). We know that winning elections and moving Ohio forward means meeting people where they already are - online! We’re bringing together creators from across the state to build a powerful organizing network through meetups, events, training, and coordinated campaigns that help important stories and candidates break through the noise.
This isn’t a replacement for traditional organizing. It’s an extension of it! Door knocking, phone banking, and voter registration still matter. But digital organizing lets us reach audiences that traditional methods simply can’t.
How it works & How to get involved
When Ohio creators work together, the impact is real. Imagine dozens of creators across the state posting about what voucher programs are doing to our public schools. Those posts gain traction, reach new audiences, and suddenly people who weren’t paying attention are fired up and calling their representatives. That’s the power of a coordinated network.
No account is too small, and yours doesn’t even have to be politics-focused! If you have a social media account, we want you. Not interested in posting? We still want you. There’s plenty of behind-the-scenes work to be done, from organizing events to supporting local creators. If you’re reading this, sign up and attend an upcoming event (details below). 😊

Wait, a PAC?! Ew…
Trust us, we get it. We truly believe campaign finance is the largest issue facing our country - it impacts every other issue, and reform is essential. This is something we care deeply about, so we want to be super transparent about why a PAC, what type we created, and what we can and cannot do with it. We want to directly impact elections in a partisan way while raising money and paying people, so a non-profit was not an option - we asked!
We gave our legal team clear requirements:
NO Super PAC! We won’t be one and we won’t accept money from one because we don’t believe they should exist.
NO corporate PAC money! We don’t want it and we won’t accept it.
We DO want the ability to work directly with candidates, ballot issues, and other orgs, and pay for and create partisan information and content.
So United SHE Stands Action Fund is an Ohio PAC, similar to what you’d create if you donated to a candidate or ballot initiative, and it cannot take any anonymous or dark money, cannot take Corporate PAC or Super PAC money, and has a contribution limit of $16,615.67 per person or entity per year (limit for 2026). We hate that this is how it works, but if we’re operating in this system, we’re doing it the right way.
